Star Wars

For “Star Wars,” D23 debuted a behind-the-scenes look at “The last Jedi,” which you can watch below:

During the panel for “Star Wars,” officials stated that the latest film, set to hit theaters this December, will pick up right where “The Force Awakens” ended.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Marvel portion of D23 included the full cast of the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War” getting on stage:

Additionally, footage of an “Avengers” preview was also shown. THR reports that the trailer went as follows:

It begins with the Guardians of the Galaxy on their ship, floating through space. Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) tells his crew to put on their ‘mean faces.’ Then, a body hits the ship, and it turns out to be Thor (Chris Hemsworth). Then the trailer pans to Earth, revealing the Avengers and Spider-Man. Also, the trailer shows a more grizzled Captain America, Thanos wearing the almighty Infinity Gauntlet and Doctor Strange working alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy and Iron Man.

The film is set to open in May 2018.

Disney Animation

One of the major releases coming up for Disney is its sequel film “Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet.” The film will return John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman as well as bring on Taraji P. Henson to the cast, according to Variety.

During a moment where footage from the film was shown, it was revealed that the picture will also include voice cameos from all the previous Disney Princess movies. After the footage, the voice actresses for Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Anna and Moana took the stage.

The movie will hit theaters in March 2018.

It looks like those who’ve been waiting for more than a decade for another “Incredibles” movie (ME INCLUDED) will finally get their wish next year.

Director Brad Bird, who helmed the original, said during D23 that the film will take place just after the first one ended. According to THR, Elastigirl (played by Holly Hunter) will be the star of the film and will be off adventuring while her husband Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) will be at home with the baby.

“It’s fundamentally a story about family,” Bird said. “The technology has gotten so much better.”

The film is set for release next June.

Along with those projects, D23 also shed light on “Toy Story 4” and the live adaptation of “The Lion King.”

For the latter, footage from the new movie was shown to the attending audience, featuring the iconic scene of Rafiki introducing Simba. The film is being directed by Jon Favreau, who recently helmed “The Jungle Book.” It’s also been announced that Hugh Jackman will play the villainous character Scar.

Another debut related to live action was the first trailer for “A Wrinkle in Time.” Watch it below.
